PRINCIPLES TO FOLLOW WHEN DOING CRISIS INTERVATION

1.it focuses on specific time limited treatment goals
2. help client to clarify and accurately asses their perception of sources and the meaning of the stresses
3.crisis intervation is designed to help develop more effective and adoptive problem solving mechanism so that client can return to normal level function.
4.is reality oriented ,it is designed to help clarify clients cognitive perceptions,to confront denial and distortion and emotional support.
5.should include member of the clients existing relationship networks to help determine and impliment effective coping strategies.
6.crisis intervation may serve as a preparation  for further counseling and development services in the future.
